POULTRY

Poultry

– Farm Raised –

Chicken

– Big or small –

Chickens are the hardest workers you’ll find laying eggs, clearing out weeds, spread the cow piles out for fertilizer, and are fantastic insect exterminators. They let their own self out in the morning and put themselves back up at night.

All you got to do is collect eggs.

Excellent egg layers and the sweetest temperament. They will come sit in your lap and love to be petted.

Good egg layers and fair temperament. They are solid black and act as decoys to deter Hawks.

Other birds see the solid black color and confuse them thinking they are crows.

Ducks

– Quack Quack –

They are great on insects.
Lay extra large eggs.
Lay the same time every day as where chickens
lay throughout the day.
Fun project to incubate eggs with the grandkids.
They are better at bug control in the garden than chickens.

The chickens tear up the plants more but the ducks are easier on the plants which helps the plants mature and grow.

We sell Chicken and Duck eggs as food grade eggs or for incubation. We can also incubate eggs for chicks when requested.

About Chicken Eggs

Most chickens begin laying eggs around 18 weeks of age. However, Golden Comets start at about just 15 weeks.

Chickens will lay eggs throughout the day and, although tend to lay in their nests, have been known to lay wherever it is most comfortable.

About Duck Eggs

Ducks will lay their eggs at about the same time everyday. However, they will lay them wherever they happen to be at the time. They tend to lay in the same place for about three or four days then will find a new location to lay.

It’s like an Easter egg hunt every few days.
